Magers Repair is a family owned and operated business. From the beginning in 1989, the concept of family value has always been the motto. We have been around for almost 30 years and are now in our second generation. Fred and wife Lisa started the company and they were joined in the business by their children at a very young age. The boys grew up working alongside their father and learned a great deal from following in his footprints. They developed the art of customer service and were handling service calls before they could drive a car. When they became adults, they were very anxious to become partners in the business. With that partnership came incredible growth while still maintaining the family structure. We believe in the family model and will continue to treat all of our customers as members of our family. Our reputation as a family you can trust is very important to us and we will do everything we can to maintain that reputation.
Fred Magers
Fred and Lisa Magers are responsible for the start of Magers Repair. Fred has been involved in the trades for most of his life. He started out working on lawn mowers with his grandpa at around the age of 8. Fred’s experience and knowledge grew as he developed a passion for electrical systems and building relationships with all of his customers. Lisa has always been the best sidekick for the company as she held down the fort and handled the office work. She spent many late evenings side by side with her husband while he worked well into the night keeping local factories and businesses up and running. Now, Fred spends most of his work days handling the commercial repair portion of the business. He enjoys working on specialty equipment like printing presses and packaging equipment. Fred has trained his 2 boys (Ben and Brandon) to run his business the same way he always did. Do it right, and be fair to the customer. Quality work doesn’t have to break the bank. Now that they don’t have to work the late nights, Fred and Lisa prefer to spend most of their spare time with their 4 grandkids.
Brandon Magers
Brandon is the oldest son. He is married to Emily and the father of a very intelligent red headed daughter (Bexley) and an extremely energetic firecracker little boy (Barrick). Brandon is a volunteer fire fighter with the Village of Loda and is also very actively involved with Pheasants Forever, serving as the Chapter Vice-President for Ford County. He spends many of his weekend hours helping his wife with her professional photography business (Mager Image Photography). In the business, Brandon is the expert electrician and especially enjoys being part of a new creation when houses are built.
Ben Magers
Ben is the second and youngest son. He is married to his wife Sam and the father of a very sweet daughter (Wynn) and a handsome little boy (Chip). Sam answers the phones at Magers Repair and keeps the boys’ schedule in line as well as running her full time flower and balloon business (The Pop Loft). Ben spends his evenings working as a teacher in the HVAC Program at Parkland College. Ben is our expert on all heating and air conditioning calls. He enjoys lending a hand to his former students on HVAC questions as much as he can.
Andy Peeler
Andy is Fred and Lisa’s nephew. Although he is Brandon and Ben’s cousin, Andy is often referred to as the “other brother” by lots of customers and family. Andy is married to his wife Josie and they are expecting a little boy in the fall of 2023! Andy grew up working with Brandon and Ben from the time he was little. He is an energetic HVAC installer and always willing to get his hands dirty on the job. Andy always says that he doesn’t feel like his job is “work” because he is spending his days with his cousins.
